Dee Why to Long Reef walk – 7 km

One of the closest lookouts to me, with some awesome views is the Dee Why Beach to Long Reef Lookout walk. It’s a short walk of 7 kilometers that really only takes around 1 hour to complete (depends on how much you dilly dally).

Start at the south end of Dee Why Beach, grab a coffee (always a must to begin your walk) and then head down to the sand.

Walk along the beach until you reach the North end of Dee Why Beach. On your left hand side before the large cliffs there is a staircase. Take the staircase up and follow the pathway up the slow, tedious, incline (do not do this after leg day). Be careful as the path is right beside a golf course and there are always balls flying. Take your time and have a sit on some of the benches and once you reach the top you will have panoramic views of Dee Why, Collaroy, Narabeen, and almost all the way up to Palm Beach.
