to the wind.

You ripped me up and threw me to the wind,

But little did you know where I’d go from there,

You said your goodbyes and spewed words of disgust,

No well wishes here,

But the wind took me,

And from the sudden pang of being broken,

To the sudden flight of being alone and liberated,

You threw me to the wind,

But it took me places you never would,

It showed me the gentle touch you never could,

And it opened my eyes to things,

You knew little about,

Its hard to know what is out there,

When you are captivated with a thought that this is enough,

Settling and understanding being motionless is alright,

For you it was,

But I am not a soul meant to be flightless,

You threw me to the wind,

But I have found things unlike you,

In unlikely places,

And I am inspired.
